I was at a medical professionals’ office earlier this year, where I have been a patient for several decades.  I have come to know several of the staff members there and have heard stories about their families as they have grown up and built their own careers.

During my last visit, I learned that one member of the team had retired a few months ago, the current one I was interacting with was planning to retire in May, and the office manager and her husband were retiring that Summer, and the business owner was looking to find someone to take over the practice upon his upcoming retirement. Additionally, my wife has had a couple of her long-time providers starting to slide into retirement.

OH MY!!!  As I drove home, I felt …. 1.) saddened to lose touch with the individuals who I have come to “know” and enjoy working with and…. 2.) felt ENVIOUS that they are retiring and I’m not?!

Have you experienced that type of interaction yet?  Am I wrong to feel that way?  Should I just be happy for them and continue on with my day?  Or should I plan to retire too? ?  Unfortunately, I am in the same boat as many of you…..  CLOSE but not completely comfortable making that “big transition” until I have a couple of additional streams of income supplementing my retirement savings.

Be sure to download your FREE eBook “12 Business Ideas You Can Start in Two Weeks” to give you some ideas to create a home-based business that will generate additional income and allow you to retire sooner or fund your “pet” project.

Bye for now.  Check back next week for my next blog post.

We help people generate additional income by developing a home-based business (or side-hustle) so they can retire earlier or fund something over-and-above their normal paycheck.
