What is your “WHY”?
I hope by now you that you have decided to start and operate a small business vs. working somewhere for peanut pay and all the harassment you can handle ?. We are all about helping you generate additional income so you can live life on your financial terms.
If you’re ready, the first thing that you need to do is determine your “WHY”
WHY do you want to take on the additional stress of a side-hustle when it’s so much easier to sit on the couch and watch reruns on TV?
WHY WHY WHY??? What is your WHY?
- Is it big enough to make you really want to start your journey?
- Is it big enough to make you do-the-work when you don’t feel like it?
- Is it big enough to tell your friends you can’t play that round of golf on Thursday afternoon when you know you have a side-hustle task to do?
- Is it big enough that NOTHING can stop you from accomplishing your goal?
If not, stop right here and reassess what you are doing!!!
If you cannot honestly answer the questions above with a resounding “YES,” it’s time to rethink your direction. I can tell you that starting a side-hustle while still working a job is hard, tiring and requires discipline to make it to a point of “success.” (What does “success” look like to you? We’ll discuss this in another post.) There are people who will tell you “it’s a piece of cake” or “it’s simple, just buy my course for $59.95 and I’ll show you how to make money while you sleep”
Really??? Do you really believe that to be true?? OF COURSE NOT!!! It’s a flat out lie! If you could buy a $59.95 course and make millions while you sleep, EVERYONE would be doing it!!!
It’s Not Easy…..
Developing a side hustle is NOT easy! I’d be willing to be that most of your friends will think you are CRAZY for doing something like this….. they’ll harass and cajole you! They will say things like “Really? You can’t meet up for golf on Thursday afternoon” or “Why can’t you go to dinner with me and my wife on Saturday evening?”
What will you say??? If you can’t stand up to a challenge from “friends” with your “WHY” then you really are not cut out for this side-hustle economy. Please continue on with your life as it exists today!!
If, on the other hand, you ARE ready to make those hard choices and you’ve totally identified and focused on your WHY; and NO ONE is going to take that from you….. then you are ready to “hit the pavement” and start making things happen!!
