My answer to these questions was a resounding “yes,” I was ready to retire and travel full time in an RV. However, I was stunned when I met with my financial planner to prepare for the “golden years.”

As I looked back over my multi-decade adventure in Corporate America, I found that even with my retirement savings, I would have to work for another decade or more, and pray that the markets worked out as planned to retire with a

relatively comfortable lifestyle.  (That would NOT include a lot of expensive trips or buying new cars or houses….)

Where to Find a Retirement Income?

I needed to find a way to build an additional steam of income to supplement my retirement ….  and quickly so that I could retire comfortably and do some travelling.  (Time was ticking and we're not getting younger as it flies by!)

As I was researching different opportunities and looking for a way to generate income, it seemed like each required a lot of capital and/or loans, experience and high risk. Did it really make any sense to take out loans to build a risky business to earn income in retirement? Something was not right with that picture. 😉

My Road to Freedom

I spent a lot of time time taking an assessment of what I’ve done over my life and career, and this is a very high level summary:

• several decades of success working in a large corporation, with several promotions and role changes (a positive thing! 🙂
• started several small businesses over the years, most of them being in different categories of products or services and had a lot of fun doing that as a side-hustle.
•  taught at the college level in the adult studies program (adults do learn differently than traditional college students)

With that in mind, I looked at countless different business options, but most of them were not conducive to the lifestyle I was looking for.

I finally stumbled upon it… duh!  Why not combine all of the biz startups with the adult education experience and develop an online coaching program to help others find their skillset and passion. From there, help them develop and grow a business that will allow them to retire, or fund a dream project.

So here we are today! 😊

Vision for the Future

We are forming group memberships with individuals who want to be able to add additional revenue to their retirement income, working the hours that they choose.

We are learning how to decide which business is right for us, how to set it up, run it, find customers, and how to build a business that will grow.

We will reach for the dreams we had before they were crushed by life, and enjoy waking up on Monday morning to enjoy our passions instead of punching a clock.
